About Me

Danielle Paciocco, ABCDT

My love of dogs began when I was just a little girl when my family brought home our first dog, Beau, a large yellow Labrador Retriever. Beau taught me how much fun life can be with a dog in it. My second dog, Riley, another yellow lab, came into my life years later, shortly after Beau’s passing. My first dog training experience materialized through a grade school science fair experiment where I taught Riley how to “spell” his name (or just bark after each letter as I spelled his name). A close relative who trains dogs professionally then assisted me in teaching Riley basic obedience techniques, which sparked an interest in dog training that has continued to grow ever since.

Although I pursued other career interests throughout my college days, dog training was always in the back of my mind. It wasn’t until I brought home my first Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, Hooper, that it became clear to me that dog training was what I wanted to pursue professionally. I began working as an Accredited Pet Trainer at a large pet supply store in 2021, while attending Animal Behavior College.  During this period, I volunteered at the Animal Welfare Association to gain experience with a variety of breeds, ages, and backgrounds while earning my degree. I graduated from Animal Behavior College as a Certified Dog Trainer in 2022, then began working at WonderDogs Canine Training & Activity Center where I am currently instructing.

I, along with my husband, son, and Hooper welcomed a second Bernese Mountain Dog, Brody, into the family. Brody, having been a rescue with a difficult background, has taught me how to patiently manage and work with fearful dogs.

I am truly a people person, but as much as I love people, I love dogs more. I am passionate about helping dog owners strengthen the bond between themselves and their dog through positive reinforcement and enrichment.
