I offer in-home training for you and your dog using fun and effective positive reinforcement techniques.

Services

  • Congratulations, you’ve gotten yourself a new puppy! …Now what? It’s time to start your new pup off right by teaching all of the basics. This also includes helpful tips and tricks to prevent problem behaviors from developing. I will help lay the groundwork for raising a confident, socialized, mannerly puppy who will become a well-behaved family member.

  • If you missed out on puppy training, either because you didn’t meet your dog until after puppyhood was over, or simply because life got in the way, that’s okay. It’s never too late to train your dog the basics. Maybe there are also a few problem behaviors you would like to address. I will help you with those as well!

  • Is your dog doing any (or all) of the following?

    -Pulling on leash during walks

    -Jumping on you and/or guests

-Barking/reacting to everyone who walks by

    -Ignoring their recall word

    -Nipping

    …and many more.

These are some of the common behaviors that I can help you resolve.

What are the benefits of working with a private trainer?

  • Most dogs love attention! Since our lessons are all one-on-one (unless otherwise requested), your dog will be the center of attention. This will make it easier for your dog to focus and will make it easier for you to learn the proper techniques being taught.

  • Everyone’s schedule is different. I offer morning, afternoon, and evening appointments throughout the week to best accommodate individual needs. I am also flexible with how often you’d like to meet, whether that be twice in one week, once a week, every other week, etc.

  • What’s easier than having someone come to you? I will go to your home to observe and teach you and your dog where you’re most comfortable. In some instances, I will meet you at a dog-friendly location of your choosing to work with your dog to generalize behaviors learned in a different environment.

  • Although distractions are great tools to use during training, they are not helpful when they all come at once. I will work with you and your dog in a distraction-free environment before gradually adding in distractions (toys, food, sounds, other dogs, etc) as your dog becomes ready.
